Vin d'jeu: French review of City Builder: https://www.vindjeu.eu/2021/10/04/city-builder-ancient-world/

Really fun tile laying game - it’s nice to have a cooperative mode as I have a few people in my house who get a bit angry when they play competitive games. For those of us who can lose gracefully the competitive version is a lot of fun. The rule book is a bit obtuse but after a few practice turns it all makes sense!

Despite that the colors are hard to distinguish this is a great game! Played only with two players and can emigine that the sweetspot could be 3 players but for me the puzzle aspect is great. i'm afraid te lower public score here on bgg comes from the fact that you have to pay more attention to the busy tiles then necessary. Maybe should have been better as the tiles looked more abstract.
