I have no idea why I purchased this game (probably the artwork), it was on sale on Amazon for less than $10 or christmas, never played, wasn't interested either. Gave it away to a new budding board gamer.

Set in an ancient Korean steampunk style setting the players try to build the most powerful province. This is done in eight rounds of card drafting. However, rather than being able to draft only a single card each time, it is possible to choose as many characters from a single family as you wish, or two characters from different families, or one character and one event, or three event cards. Attractive artwork. This is a standalone follow up to Koryo, which plays similarly and is set in the same world.

I had to persevere to get to grips with this game, but it was worth the effort. The rules and game mechanics are a little complex for such a small card game. But it offers a solid game experience, supported by some interesting art work. You need to play through about five games before you can really get immersed in the strategic possibilities. But the games run fast: around 10 to 15 minutes. I'm not sure how the theme connects to the game, but the images contribute to the fun. I've only played in 3-player mode which worked well; I think it would be even better with 4 players. However I can't see it working with 2 players. I'd call this a hidden gem ... grab it if you can find it.
