Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.

Played a game on BGG, and won 184-103-57. I wonder how all the negative comments say this game is too light. For me it's almost AP inducing. One must imagine how their complicated machine operates as they draft stuff, which often means imagining multiple runs with different helpers before settling down to one choice. I mean, I don't find myself needing so many analysis when playing Gaia Project! I went to BGG to check whether the weight of this game was above or below 4, and was very surprised to see 2.90. Either everyone else doesn't get it, or I don't get it. Will probably try a few more games to re-calibrate my opinion.

Nothing wrong with this game per se, but just very bland, boring, and too heads down for my tastes. The engine building (or factory building) is simple and light, and will probably please a broad audience. I mostly enjoyed the drafting and the effect the recruiting has on the shared contract fulfillment you can do. Very forgettable unfortunately.

After half a dozen games, I've confirmed that the game is basically a solitaire in search of maximizing the scoring. There is no interaction between players, and the more you play, the more boring it gets. And this is a real pitty, because the art and componentes are really fine, and the conveyor belt mechanic is pretty interesting which leads to a disappointing feeling of having missed such a good chance on making a great theme inspired game.
