Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

The art is great, the game play was good but lacked some punch, maybe a way to use cards for alternate costs. the take that element were w fun mix as the player had to balance winning and keeping the station alive.

Easy to set up, teach and play. 1st game for 5 people took under an hour. Game works well at 5, likely at 4 as well. I'd be skeptical at 3. Game is suitable for newish non-gamers. Enjoyed by all. If you are looking for complex, or a lot of choices, this isn't it.

*Pops & Bejou Games sent me a pnp prototype copy to playtest and share my experience. My family enjoyed it so much we chose to back it. Channel WON is a semi-cooperative card game with a retro style brought to you by the same minds behind CULTivate which recently won the award for Best Card Game (General) at the UK Games Expo Awards 2022. In Channel WON you and your opponents are vying for the prime time news anchor position by proving you're the best journalist. You'll do your best to gather sources for the leads you choose to follow in the hopes that your stories will out perform your opponents. You might even choose to occasionally discredit stories they are working on! But you'll need to watch out because if a story is a total flop or a lead gets ignored it will negatively affect the entire station's ratings. The first time we played it was just my husband and me. It was a tight competition. The strategy around whether I should build up my own leads or damage the ones he was on was more thoughtful than I expected. It was light, but competitive fun and we both enjoyed reading the pun filled leads. The next time we played with my 7 year old and 10 year old. The iconography on the cards is really clear and well done so my 7 year old felt very confident after a quick explanation. So confident, in fact, that she won! The very next day my eldest demanded a rematch. She was more thoughtful with her card drafting strategy this time and pulled off the win! I'm very proud of both of them.
