An alright 2 player abstract that is hurt by the same aspects that really set it apart from other games, unfortunately. Not all of the monoliths are of equal power, which can set off some weird sets of events for whoever takes the first monolith. The iconography on them is also a little difficult to decipher. Honestly, I feel like I would regard this game higher if I had never played either Santorini, but they just do the abstract game with varying powers much better.

Similar to Onitama, this one is a Chess-like two player head-to-head game. However, unlike Onitama and Chess, the strategy and available moves/abilities change over time as more megaliths are built. We personally really enjoy this evolving strategy, but pure strategists may prefer Onitama. Great component quality. Even though each of the miniatures/pawns are the same gameplay-wise, they each have a unique sculpt, which is a nice asthetic touch. We also like the fantasy theme behind the game, where your pawns are shamans building megaliths.

I need to play this more. Very close to Onitama, but with chaotic powers. Might be a game I really end up enjoying, or get bored of at the 5th play, too early to say.
