Burano
90m - 120m
2 - 4 Players
Ages 12+
This mechanic usually requires players to pick up an item or good at one location on the playing board and bring it to another location on the playing board. Initial placement of the item can be either predetermined or random. The delivery of the good usually gives the player money to do more actions with. In most cases, there is a game rule or another mechanic that determines where the item needs to go.
Pick-up and Deliver
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

Euro al total estilo de feld, combina muchas mecánicas diferentes pero que fluyen a la perfección. Sin lugar a dudas ha sido toda una revelación. Es precioso desplegado en la mesa y definitivamente me encanta!

Rating based on - 1.5 plays, 2 player Burano is a small Italian island that is known for its fishing, lacework and distinctive coloured buildings. While this isn't mentioned in the rulebook, I remember from my trip to Burano that the buildings were painted in this manner so that the fishermen could find their way home in times of thick fog. In the board game your goal is to go fishing, make lace, and build houses that net you actions that lead to victory points at game end. The game is driven by an action selection block pyramid where you can only take the blocks that are 'exposed' to use for your actions, and the colour block you select to build out on the island determines the action you'll take. The colours associated with the different actions change from round to round, and therefore the block pyramid you choose to build will change from round to round depending on what actions you want to pursue. The premise is very interesting, but after our first game a few things gave me cause for pause - setup takes a while and is very fiddly with dozens of bits and chits, actions and money are so tight in the game that I felt handcuffed for a lot of it (even though I ended up doing a lot over the course of the game), prepping a block as one of your actions which is essentially not doing a whole lot feels like a waste and additional actions are expensive, in addition to which the game feels very zero-sum or maybe just very balanced at 2 players (I went for fishing, my gaming partner went hard into lace making and I won 100-97 which seems like an awful lot of work for just a 3 point difference and at times I felt like we needed at least a 3rd player to press us a bit harder) plus it plays very long (in the vicinity of 2 hours) so I can't see myself playing it very often with our busy schedule...even so...do I really want to spend hours on a game about fishing and lace making??? Halfway through the second game of this I just got so frustrated with the tight actions, and the repetitiveness, and just the convoluted nature of everything that I begged off playing for that session and scrubbed everything up. This is the first time in my history of gaming in over FOUR YEARS that I haven't finished a game. Too long and too fiddly. Too much going on with not enough payoff. Done with it and never again. Not a game for me. Status: TRADED for Petrichor & Petrichor:Flowers

1x játszottunk vele, több esélyt nem kapott, eladtuk. Abszolút nem volt semmilyen flowja, nem fogott meg.
