Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management

I playtested this at GenCon 2016 and had a BLAST. The "evil" player was actually trying to be nice but he simply couldn't because his cards were so nasty. The other five of us had to fight hard, but ended up being victorious. Everyone had a great time.

Bland presentation (all cards with little theme/artwork) but great co-op dungeon crawler (other than the one enemy player).

Enjoyed playing a demo of this at Indie Hangover 2016, but my issue with it is that I am not big on playing multiple characters to make a game playable. The games needs three where we normally play 2, so this had to be a pass.
