Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Attack on Titan: The Last Stand by @dontpanicgames is a 1 vs many game where the “many” try to defeat the Titan before it’s too late! In the game, the Titan player will be playing action cards in order to either kill 1 player, eat 12 citizens, or destroy 6 cannons. The other players will be rolling dice to get the symbols they need to move around the Titan, damage the Titan, or activate Tactic cards that will reward the players. These cards require players to be on certain “levels” and have the symbols in order to trigger powerful rewards, including killing a damaged Titan. As the Titan cannot defeated unless the right tactic is triggered, it is important to cycle through the various cards to get the one that you need Players are able to reroll their dice as many times as they want but dice that roll a Titan symbol are locked and given to the Titan player for them to use on devastating abilities such as healing or eating more citizens The game really allows players to feel like they are jumping around the Titan in order to execute various maneuvers but ultimately it is highly dice reliant and the dread of rerolling and potentially giving the Titan player more to use, while highly thematic, does impact the enjoyment of the game a bit when little progress is made each round. The Titan player also does not have too much to do as the other players are busy strategizing and deciding what their best options are. And the game can end abruptly as players may suddenly roll all Titan symbols on their first roll, giving a Titan enough to take out a player However, the game is quick and exciting with every dice roll being an opportunity for both joy and dread! And you can’t forget the huge Titan standee that provides such great table presence! If you enjoy the AoT anime and would like to have a tabletop representation of it, you should definitely check this game out! Originally posted on https://www.instagram.com/p/C4k-0ALyRGv/

+ Great artwork + Good materials - Better spend time watching the anime... The winning conditions aren't good, they make the game a real bore.

An interesting take on am anime staple. Take on a taking titan to save the city or take on the roll of the titan to lay waste to everything. Interesting push your luck dice mechanic where you have unlimited dice rerolls to get what you want, but if you roll a "titan head", the titan player gets the fire and can use it to perform powerful special attacks. A fun game even if you are not a fan of the series. The towering titan model catches some attention when you have it on the table. My only complaint is that the buildings can be a pain to assemble every time you play and they went fit in the box assembled.
