Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Fast game that packs a bunch of choice concerns into a play and pass. Id put it between sushi go and 7 wonders for depth. Short though, guess I'll just play it twice! going into my gateway games set

My wife, a middle school librarian, would probably feel that shelving books by color is actually a terrible way to organize a library. This is a whimsically themed abstract strategy game — reading all the different book titles as you place them on your board is an absolute delight! However, the game can become a bit of a double-solo game with limited player interaction. So make sure to read your books aloud!

Love the theme, the whimsical book titles, and enjoy the concept of shelving/organizing books, collecting sets, etc. Unfortunately, the core drafting mechanic is extremely dry: card abilities are weak and uninspired, choices are limited and uninteresting, and the game overall is just boring. The only fun/tension comes from the challenge of completing the common goals, which unfortunately too often rely on lucky draws (i.e. a player already happened to have an objective completed) rather than skillful play.
