Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

I have enjoyed my few plays of it, but there are quite a few things that keep this good game from being rated as a great game. You draft cards and every time you play a card you'll also grant both your neighbours a bonus. I feel like this could go 2 ways: You either pick the card that is best for you but might profit your neighboors OR you check out every possible action how it would weigh out: your benifit vs theirs, resulting in AP. I still like it a lot for the puzzle and I play it as described in the first scenario, a light hearted fun puzzle with quite some luck. The goals shift rather quickly, making a long term strategy not woth your while.

Lovely game. Thematically amazing. Love all the titles on the bindings of the books. They game moves quite fast the way the cards are made to move each turn so you have to go hard and fast to claim what you need. Not a complicated game but has some good strategy. Have played several times and keeping it in our library. ;). Recommended without a doubt.

A neat drafting mechanic where the card you picked also determines what give to your neighbors. There is randomness from the objective cards that come out after every card drafted, what you get from your neighbors, and drawing from the bag. Meeting the objective cards when they are drawn without any work is part of the luck factor in the game. At the end of the game you have a nice looking library. Finally, each book tile is named uniquely in the game. The titles are funny. Don't buy.
