Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

Colorful and easy to play filler. The cards are beautiful. I was not aware that wild animals were into costume jewelry. This game is vaguely reminiscent of Lost Cities: The Board Game.

Elegant premise, thwarted by a jarring amount of situational combat minutiae that just slightly tipped it away from being worth it.

The game really shines with four players, but a bit less impressive at two. With multiple players, you get the strategy of aiming for the second-place points as well as the first-place points on each region, while it's a lot harder for one player to lock up multiple areas. With two players, the third (of three) rounds is often a bit anti-climactic.
