Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Co-operative play encourages or requires players to work together to beat the game.
Cooperative Play
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Games where you repeat an action (or part of an action) until you decide to stop due to increased (or not) risk of losing points or your turn.
Press your Luck
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

Now that I've played with three expansions I can finally give my opinion on this game. As a long-time fan of the Oniverse games, I think this one stands firmly in the middle: lots of fun, great art, well-balanced, and with expansions which add thinkiness to the base game. The reason I'm not ranking it higher is that it has a slight fiddliness. You roll dice A LOT, which makes every move a string of dice rolls, and each dice roll is either a triumph or a frustration. That can even out as a lot of frustrations and "why am I bothering?" feelings during a game that -- for the base game -- goes on a tad too long. But as you get better at it you also learn to pull the Aerion levers, ensuring cards come out of certain decks and knowing in which situations your hail-mary "pixies" must be spent. Gradually, after a few more games, you realize you CAN control things. But you still need to roll dice A LOT. I love the Stone Clouds expansion because it lets you use your dice for something other than getting cards. The hourglass expansion is a nice extra goal, and it plays nicely with the Stone Clouds. The Flagship, though? I've found it frustrating so far. Maybe it will grow on me.

I get the premise, I found it harder than most rulebooks to get into... The layout of the explanation partially. Prefer Friday among other solo games. Some of the icons aren't clear/intuitive for me (thanks for the gamers in the forum who helped!) My rating might climb but it helps too mathematical/logic plus luck for me [youtube=TFQ8xDq3iqQ] Google AmassGames (2,300 board game reviews, podcast, 3000+ Instagram posts and more)

[puzzle 3 replay 3 invest 3.5 solo 4] note: the base puzzle probably too light, every module added in makes it feel Lacerda-sque heavy, but then the rule learning becomes not worth the effort
