Adventure Tactics: Domianne’s Tower – Second Edition (Kickstarter)

The Campaign/Battle Card Driven mechanic is a relatively recent development in war games that focuses the players' actions on cards they have in their hand. The very basic idea is that performing a single action uses a single card. Games where cards are used to determine the outcome of battles do not use this mechanic.
Campaign / Battle Card Driven
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Some board games incorporate elements of role playing. It can be that players control a character that improves over time. It can also be a game that encourages or inspires storytelling.

A lot of great ideas here with the level up system and enemy AI but this is ultimately a miss for me. Bottom line is scenarios are too easy. Our heroes lost one scenario early on but then never came close to losing again. Enemies don’t keep up with the power level of heroes and become easier and easier to defeat as the campaign progresses, exactly opposite of what you want or expect.

An excellent dungeon crawler. Getting to level up after every mission is wonderful, and getting into an elite level character class possibly within 3 levels is fantastic. Gameplay is interesting, and the game is just overall fun. High marks from us after one go through of the campaign.

Cooperative campaign crawler game with deck building where you constantly level up your character like in a RPG game with multiclassing (e. g, Paladin lvl 1 and Mage lvl 3). Each level unlocks new corresponding cards. You slay through minions until a boss fight. + Artwork: charming. + Leveling up (multiclassing). + Simple to teach and scale. # Family game. # Luck of the roll (damage) - Combat environments are very similiar. - Warping issues of the card boards. - At least 3 players needed (otherwise you have to manage multiple heroes).
