Card game by Bruno Cathala. The active player draws one card after another. Each time the player decides to stop or draw further cards. If a card is an enemy, the a marker is moved further on the track board. If the player decides to fight an enemy, the player gets the reward according to the current enemy track level. + Supberb artwork + Unusual theme (underwater, fantasy, mythology) + Components + Drawing many cards helps opponents as push your luck element + Low downtime + Order of lords for special abilities and different locations change feel of the game + Scales well with all player counts + Quick playing time + Easy to teach # Abstract gameplay # Non mean player interaction # Board is not necessary Similar games: * Alhambra (similar card/resource economy)

Rating could be anything from 6 to 10. I'm setting it to 9 after one play because I won. ;) If I lose next time, it'll go down to an 8. ;) Honestly, though, this is again a very well rounded game by Mr. Catala, which combines simple game mechanics ("Go fish" in this case, a simple bidding mechanic in Cyclades) with elegant design, which is a breeze to play. I like it!

A fun card-driven game that's a bit lighter than I expected, but definitely enjoyable. I'm not sure how much depth there is to this one, but I could see this one rising in my estimation as the auction adds interactivity and the lords and locations have plenty of combinations.
