This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

A pretty decent filler game. It's worker placement with a mancala system. It does require you to think a round ahead if you want to maximize your chance to get goods out of the bag but your opponent can always find ways to mess up your plans so can be frustrating.

It has appeal thematically - but lacks staying power mechanically. I enjoyed the mancala system ok. It seemed to break down when a great number gathered in the saloon with little motivation to select them later (the building meeples gather there most often). It was well rounded mechanically in general beyond this, but simple in its systems. The buying of buildings was a missed opportunity and also demotivated playing into the buildings. And the choices of colors for players and brown/red meeples were brutal to colorblind folks like myself - it damped enjoyment further. So overall, fine and easy for new players, inviting in theme, but has little else to offer.
