Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

Felt a lot like Munchkin, you can plan all you like, but the game is going to be a leader-bashing fest until everyone runs out of attack cards and someone wins. The art and style were high quality though

Just received the game after supporting the kickstarter. Artwork: Probably the cutest and funniest game I have seen, and I have a game that revolves around adorable pandas. Every card made us laugh or go 'Aaaaw' Great for families or a group of friends! Players: Say's it's good for up to eight players, and I can believe that. I have three of the expansions, but I feel like even without them, we would have been able to play a 6 player game without running out of cards. May get a little tight with eight players, but still doable. Play time: This is where we had the biggest issue. The box says 30-45 minutes, but my friends were playing for about an hour, maybe more. If you want a longer game that kind resembles a bunch of blue decks in Magic The Gathering, then perfect! If you want a shorter game, then I suggest a couple house rules. One I will be implementing is that all neigh cards (nope card) can only be played once, and cannot be recurred from the discard. Or, reduce the amount of neigh cards. That way they are either more rare, or worth more to play. The reason why our game went so much longer than it should was because there are a few cards that recur cards from the discard, So everyone had a bunch of neigh cards in hand, and would just nope whatever someone tried to play to win. I was starting to get frustrating near the end. However, this flaw can easily be fixed by house rules. Overall, it's definitely a great game for a casual party (maybe not a good drinking game). The pictures are ADORABLE, and I believe this game could be on par with Exploding Kittens.

What I consider to be Exploding Kittens's direct competitor, Unstable Unicorns differs from it's competitor by being a lengthier game more focused on set collection and "take that" elements of gameplay. While the game itself is perfectly serviceable and may appeal to others, I found this game to be alright up until the mid-endgame, where multiple people are going at each other to stop the other from winning and the constant "take that" elements start to get draining, to a point where you just want the game to end.
