Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Games that use the Memory mechanic require players to recall previous game events or information in order to reach an objective.

Bought to play solo; could tell while playing it would be better with a group. Box contains 3 cases to solve. No replayability after finishing the cases. Best to gift or sell on to another gamer once done

Small, tight, quick, adventures, that deliver everything we like about deduction games. I cannot fathom how anyone comes to the conclusion about Death on the 4th of July. Good scenario, but something is certainly off. That will not stop us from buying more. :)

Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective the hand management game -- which is to say it's a less robust experience, but plays much quicker and with each mystery in a single deck of cards (the game comes with three in the box). I also have the 'Whereabouts Unknown' demo scenario.
