Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Some board games incorporate elements of role playing. It can be that players control a character that improves over time. It can also be a game that encourages or inspires storytelling.

Mountains of Madness is all the fun in a crunchy co-op, with all the zaniness of a party game. As frustrating as the game can be not being able to do or say some things midway through the game, the frustration turns to laughter and even enjoyment. It’s a fun game and I will very often play with a group of friends if they are interested.

In der richtigen Spielerzusammensetzung eine 8. Aber alle müssen sich auf das Spiel einlassen, ansonsten zündet das Spiel nicht.

First game was a fun experience. I was laughing and having a good time, but the game felt longer than it should be and the actual game play was not fun enough for me to warrant more plays. The madnesses were silly and that's the only reason I would play the game again.
