Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

The Cardboard Kid
Original - 2018 07 16: When I was told about this, I was like, “Okay, it sounds kinda fun.” It’s more than kinda fun... it’s a blast! It plays quickly, you can teach and play with anyone, and you’ll be laughing every time you play. What you get in the box is great, but I want to see more. Action cards, one-and-done thematic abilities... more everything. Update - 2019 07 01: I'm getting better at bluffing and risk assessment, so Most Wanted is a bit more enjoyable now. This is still best with four or more people, and because it's usually just the three of us, this doesn't get played as much as we'd like.

I got this played once with a higher play count and it was a bit chaotic probably just due to the amount of people trying to learn. Certainly a game unlike any other in my collection. Want to get this one played again.

Surprisingly good. I played it expecting to dismiss it as Ameritrash but what I got was a fairly strategic and fun card game. I'd happily play it again.
