Mint Bid is a refreshingly light auction game for 1 to 6 players with easy-to-learn rules, lightning-fast setup, and exciting social gameplay, all in 30 minutes!
The game’s compact size makes it easy to put in your pocket and take anywhere. Couple that with its simple rules and setup, and Mint Bid is like carrying a party in your pocket!
The most unique part of Mint Bid is that every winning bid is shared between two adjacent players, so each player has to compete and cooperate to gain a competitive advantage.
Victory in Mint Bid is simple to understand: whoever has the most Victory Points at the end of the game wins!
Getting the most Victory Points isn’t always so simple, though. Since all Victory Points are shared between pairs of players, players must strategically win auctions, place Locations, and utilize the Location’s special actions to ensure victory.

The ideia is that players bid on plants, in order to gain points and hopefully increase their income - with the twist that each plant always belongs to two players - either the person on the left or on the right of that who won the bid. Thus, the game incentivize players to make deals with one of the their neighbours, in order to be better suited for the bid battle (players allied add their bids together), but, of course, only one person can win at the end! [thing=328569][/thing] is brutal. You can be the best at sweet talk, the points of the plants are open to see, so anyone can easily calculate if a deal will be bad or good. There are room for using the deals and alliances to counter the others in unexpected ways, which is nice. Still, after each game I felt even dirty, with so many crosses, threats, extrapolated scenarios, and such. While I don't particularly enjoy negotiation games with all open information, as many times it just becomes a math problem, at least the game added two types of bids, and the closed bid is where the excitment can truly lies, as even if the deals are still made in the open, the bids are hidden, and surprises most definitely happen. If there was a little more hidden (at least the money), likely the fun factor would be high - for me, as I like games with plenty of table talk, deals, backstabs and interactivity. If you aren't keen on this type of elements, pass far from [thing=328569][/thing], as it is truly way more a negotiation game than an auction one, but I guess is possible to plays in a less agressive manner - and [thing=328569][/thing] does come with a solo mode. Overall, [thing=328569][/thing] gave a pretty nice time. Is a game in which the more, the merrier, as a larger number of players add deeper interactions and ways to manipulate the results. The other hand is that, with each person included, the playing time also increases. With 3 the game is a true filler, lasting around 15-20 minutes, and with 6, you are looking into a hour or so play. Recommended!

It's a bit long play wise vs the other mint tin games which I have mixed feelings on but for now it's staying in my collection (even if it's just for the novelty of the tiny form factor). First I will say Poketto did ship it pretty quickly when purchased directly from their website. They never sent out a shipment confirmation email nor responded to my inquiry (though it arrived in the mail the same day so it ended up being moot). However I've had an issue with some missing parts from two previous purchases I've made. They have not once responded to my inquiries via any of their contact emails. I would be very hesitant to purchase any further games going forward due to how badly they've been at communication with any of their customers or previous kickstarter projects. The game quality has also gone down hill pretty substantially after Mint Delivery IMO. Mint cooperative isn't bad and Mint Bid has been decent so far but that doesn't mean they don't have issues. They don't seem to do enough playtesting, their rules are horrible and their previously mentioned communication is disgraceful. I do hope as a company they shape up but so far their seems to be no indication of this happening.
