A bit heavier on the rules than The Resistance. There is a lot more randomness instead of the pure social deduction. The term "rescuers" seems a bit odd. Who exactly are they rescuing? Two games so far. Apart from the gameplay, the choice of name which infringes on the IP of NSKN Games seems a bit underhanded.

My favorite social deduction/hidden team game. Unlike games like Secret Hitler, Avalon, or Crossfire, there are actual mechanics in this game that require decision making outside the social aspect. There are so many layers to manage that it becomes a game demanding both the strategic mind and social "face" from the player. It's also a game that requires both teams to lie to each other to get the full experience. If you decide to take this approach as a normal social deduction game (e.g. "good" guys tell the truth), you will find the game is heavily sided towards the Hunters and this is where the majority of the game's complaints comes from. Considering that this game has both sides with an equal number of players, a smaller player count, and no night phase, trying to approach this game from a Werewolf/Resistance mindset will lead to disappointment. If you treat this as a game with two teams going at it without knowing their teammates are, it becomes a far more interesting game than what's currently out there. This is the gamer's version of a social deduction game where everyone is involved from start to finish.

Think I’d seen this several times in the sale section but the cover looked terrible and I moved on. Finally noticed the important piece of info at the top of box front: Martin Wallace. Took a punt even though not my style of game.
