Imperial Settlers: Roll & Write
30m - 30m
1 - 4 Players
Ages 10+
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Cone Defense
Very underwhelming roll and write. Simulates Imperial Settlers at a very basic level, but just nothing special about this game.

I like the soloplay in this a lot! You get a New Challenge everytime. However the base game is a bit repetitive but you could just use the solochallenges in a multiplayer game. I recommend this!

Rating reflects solo play. It’s a neat concept but frustrating in execution for 2 reasons: 1) the technology cards that you flip up at the beginning of the game have a HUGE impact on your ability to score big. Like 2 of them are 3 or 4 times better than the others. If you get them, great. If not, you’ll only obtain a mediocre score, no matter how you play. 2) you don’t get to use the things you build enough. You spend a lot of effort to get them constructed and they maybe help you a couple times. It’s a quick game, but really, too quick. Unfortunately, the regular board game is only barely any better, for different reasons (at least as a solitaire experience).
