Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

Played on iOS. Weird game, it’s basically a million different little mini puzzles, where you have to figure out what the building combos are and what the best way through a given configuration is. The weird thing is that with no re-rolls and a situation where there aren’t really trade-offs and you just want to roll what you need and always need a big number on the colonist die, I’m not totally clear if the whole thing actually works at all. It’s fine as a process-driven activity, but a game? Not clear yet.

Fiddly. Use a tally on the left www.youtube.com/AmassGames Rating based on base game. Advanced looks fun. Dice are too square. Engine build is nice but it seems obvious what to go for Smooth and fast yet nothing special

everything I love and hate about an Ignacy game. I feel like I'm creating a mini empire (especially in solo). I like how it builds and the choices are meaty. You can take different strategies but still have to react to the cards/dice you have that round. But it is also soooo damn fiddly!
