Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Games where you repeat an action (or part of an action) until you decide to stop due to increased (or not) risk of losing points or your turn.

We expected a nice little set collection game, paired with stunning components and a unique theme. Haunt the House surprised us with its choices, variants, and occasional nastiness. This has been a hit with our non-gaming friends and family, and also with our more experienced pals. It's very easy to teach, learn, and play, although it can drag on a bit longer than we'd like.

KS backer (Darker Corners deluxe edition) Rating a bit premature since we still haven’t played it very many times - based upon quality of components, artwork, and mechanics, and three games, it’s definitely a keeper. Replayability seems high due to the different kinds of variable components, even before we add in the Darker Corners elements. Update: After 7 or 8 plays, this is a keeper. The game has a point-salad aspect in that it supports different strategies, but what makes it really interesting is that those strategies can also include card play aimed at bluffing/misleading other players. The mind-game aspect is what makes it interesting for my teenagers.

PnP. Fun game, there is a bit of risk in not knowing what others played (so you're not sure you can complete the rooms). Plays pretty fast. I need to reprint a few of the cards as they are flaking.
