This particular collection is a mixed bag. The Video Game themed Unlock is definitely the strongest of the bunch, followed by Sherlock Holmes, and then Alice in Wonderland. The video game one had by far the strongest puzzles, but they were a little too reliant on mini games using the phone. Sherlock had the best theme, but the ending was outrageously obtuse and difficult to figure out. And finally, the Alice in Wonderland one had some game mechanics that were just out and out difficult to implement and not fun. They're not terrible, but definitely not the best Unlock games I have played.

Overall, perhaps our favorite UNLOCK set so far. This series continues to impress again and again. Most recent puzzles are our favorites over the earlier ones. Insert Coin (10) - So much fun—GREAT app use! Even though it wasn't that hard, this may have been some of the most fun we've had playing an Unlock. Sherlock Holmes (8) - We got a little stuck even though we had the elements of the puzzle and overlooked a map detail. When we used hints to get past that stuck point—it was cool to watch it all come together. White Rabbit (10) - This one was absolutely brilliant, really captured Alice in Wonderland thinking. Used every inch of the cards for meaning and clues. Wow. The final puzzle was tricky to pull off—but we were so, so impressed. Mad geniuses wrote this one.

I need to play more unlock games but I’m not sure if I prefer this system to Exit. The app adds interesting augmented reality that changes the way that cards can be used. I also like that this isn’t destructible and I can pass it on to someone else once we complete all the puzzles.
