Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.

Even though Passion adds a bit of freshness to Sagrada, it still doesn't make the game super exciting. Okay, more is going on, but it's still the Sagrada. Maybe I would have given a 7, but the quality of the manual in the Polish version eliminates all the fun of the game. I had to use instructions in other languages. Additionally, divergent views on the rules between author and publisher make this game downright irritating.

I like that it offers personal dice pools which makes 2 player games better cause you don’t see as many dice or have choices when drafting. It give you an additional option on each turn.

Gives a boost to the objectives - and somehow I feel the new ones (symmetry) are slightly easier than the ones from the original games. The new private objectives with the rare glass die also help to keep the game fresh. The inspiration cards felt a bit unbalanced (as for some of them you have to spend glass tokens, for others you don't) and generally they feel pretty much unnecessary, as they are more an additional tool, rather than a real ability.
