Born-of-Ashes
Really great drafting game with permanent discounts which make you feel more and more powerful as you start to be able to afford buildings for free. The board can lock up a bit when there are a lot of buildings out, and the corners can be hard to take if you can’t afford any of its neighbors as well. But it is super short and cute so it goes in the game night bag.

I expected a better Splendor or a better Point Salad. In practice it's much less smooth than splendor and the buildings don't have the unique effects that Point Salad cards had. I think it might have been a better game if the buildings had scoring effects on them, to make them more unique and to avoid the tier system. I can imagine that would have its own issues, but there's still just a little too much friction for the amount of randomness. Also the icons for the resources needed are way too small on the cards, which just makes AP worse.

Advanced Point Salad. Pretty good but on each turn a player much choose between taking two pairs of adjacent cards or drawing two from the draw pile. That's twenty five choices and situation is sure to change by the time you take your turn. That is a sure situation for analysis paralysis.
