Disaster has struck! Cities around the world are in desperate need of food, water, vaccines, and other supplies. You and your team belong to the Crisis Response Unit (CRU), an elite team of doctors and specialists. With a specially equipped plane, you are uniquely capable of providing life-saving aid — anytime, anywhere.
Pandemic: Rapid Response is a race against time. Roll dice to create supplies, fly the plane, and make deliveries to cities in need. As the timer counts down, you must quickly coordinate and work together to react to new disasters. Will you and your team be able to respond in time?
The nations of the world have pooled their resources and assembled a diverse crew. Each of the seven unique role cards features its own ability. The Analyst, Adjoua Soro, is able to re-roll the dice up to two additional times. The Engineer, Soojin Sohn, can change any die result with a plane to a different symbol. Take turns as quickly as possible, using your role’s unique ability and strategically allocating your dice to be as efficient as possible when creating supplies.
When you’re ready for a new challenge, adjust the difficulty level or add crisis cards for a greater variety of obstacles to overcome. Now hurry — the timer is counting down and the world needs your help!

I love Pandemic, I love Tharsis (a very similar move-around-the-ship-and-lock-rolled-dice-to-solve-problems game) but neither of those are TIMED and the the amount of housekeeping that comes with having 24 dice flying around the board (and knocking components over, getting lost under the table, proving difficult to pick up...) becomes overwhelming when you're trying to do it at speed.

The time element makes this hectic and I'm pretty sure mistakes go unnoticed. Has little to do with the original pandemic other then the theme. The card draw makes this game anywhere from challenging to really easy. Some combinations will make you solve the whole thing in under 2 minutes, some will push you to madness everytime you turn over a new location on the other side of the board. A solid game plan and some planning ahead (don't think of what you'll do on your turn, but beforehand and shout out what your plan will be) will get you there. All in all this game improves your teamwork and is a lot of fun as long as there is no really clear weakest link. Because it's fast and demanding it's a great filler especially if everyone know what to do. I like it.

The game itself is really good; it's just too fast-paced for us right now. The complete opposite of Pandemic, where you can take 10 mins to debate (argue?) about who should go where and do what. I love the game board and the concept of the plane.
