Disaster has struck! Cities around the world are in desperate need of food, water, vaccines, and other supplies. You and your team belong to the Crisis Response Unit (CRU), an elite team of doctors and specialists. With a specially equipped plane, you are uniquely capable of providing life-saving aid — anytime, anywhere.
Pandemic: Rapid Response is a race against time. Roll dice to create supplies, fly the plane, and make deliveries to cities in need. As the timer counts down, you must quickly coordinate and work together to react to new disasters. Will you and your team be able to respond in time?
The nations of the world have pooled their resources and assembled a diverse crew. Each of the seven unique role cards features its own ability. The Analyst, Adjoua Soro, is able to re-roll the dice up to two additional times. The Engineer, Soojin Sohn, can change any die result with a plane to a different symbol. Take turns as quickly as possible, using your role’s unique ability and strategically allocating your dice to be as efficient as possible when creating supplies.
When you’re ready for a new challenge, adjust the difficulty level or add crisis cards for a greater variety of obstacles to overcome. Now hurry — the timer is counting down and the world needs your help!

Enjoy this version of pandemic quite a bit! The real-time aspect makes sense thematically. The layout of the plane is super neat, the dice are lovely, and it plays much faster than regular Pandemic. Bonus: you could easily remove the real-time element and just walk through the turns to be able to teach a child how to play. And it feels like you're really doing something important in real life!

It's got Pandemic in the name but is tangentially related to its well-known brethren. This is a speed-rolling dice game. It takes place in fairly quick rounds where you are trying to match dice to certain areas to produce resources to fulfill recipes. It's a decent game that plays pretty quick although it's not going to scratch that puzzle-solving Pandemic itch. I don't really own a game like this so it'll stay in the collection for now.

Super fun dice rolling game. Pretty intense. We won but we did slow things down a bit out first play trying to understand what happens after doing a drop off. It took a game or two before we didn't miss anything but after that it felt like great teamwork trying to accomplish the missions before time ran out. I don't know if I would play no talking in between rounds as it's just not fun for us but imagine that would increase the difficulty. It's challenging and rewarding pulling off the right combos with the ability to help each other if your on the same spot.
