Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

I really enjoyed this game! It's easy to catch on to, but requires enough strategy that it can be played again. It is a visually appealing game and your opponents' decisions might thwart or help you as you play. I look forward to playing it again!

I found the need to stare at a board of 80 something dice and pick out number and colour combinations unsatisfying.

This is a fairly quick game with a similarity to Sagrada in that you are drafting dice. In this case you are drafting dice of the same number in a straight line from the board to complete "jar" cards. It is not super challenging but easy to teach and fun enough to play.
