Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

A really quick push your luck game. It's really quick to play and to finish, so your downtime is really low. The game is a lot of fun as a filler or just waiting for someone to arrive, but don't expect to be quite deep. Still a fun card game

Did a fake trial/learning run playing as 4 players. It appears that getting to the number 21 takes only a few turns. I'll need to revisit the mechanics to ensure I'm playing correctly or look into a variant. The mechanics are simple, choose between 1 of 3 possible actions on your turn and that's it. The way the cards interact with each other reminds me of Unstable Unicorns, but with more fluid interaction between players.

We enjoyed this number-sense card game quite a bit when the kids were young, but they've outgrown it now.
