Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

A social deduction game that goes a step too far in randomizing stuff and causing chaos. Or a couple of steps. As a result you end up with a game where the outcome usually feels very unrewarding.

OK filler game, plays and explains quickly. Mostly luck based, as your hands changes too quickly to plan ahead (6+ players). With less players there is not much to deduct, you follow the monster through each players hand (3~4 players) Like most games, better with a group who knows how to banter a bit.

For the masses of us who own Love Letter the question is whether we need Monster My Neighbour as well? Rather than eliminating players, MMN's thing is to keep cards moving around the table, but ultimately that isn't quite enough to make this game stand out in a fast growing crowd. The artwork is OK, production quality is good.
