Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

I demo'ed this with my wife in giant form at Gencon '18 and we had a good time. I'm always intrigued when folks adapt familiar concepts into new things. In this case, the slider puzzle game makes for a fun core game mechanism with the added euro-style scoring. There were several young kids at the table and they seemed to do well with the base game. We didn't use any of the drafting elements or the advanced cards, but it was still enjoyable. I agree with folks about the timed element of the design - its not my favorite way to play a game - but it works here. We decided it wouldn't replace any of our existing favorite fillers, so we didn't pick up a copy, but I would definitely play it again. YMMV.

Enjoyable if you want something light and cosy. The jigsaw core mechanic is disctintive enough and real-time play bothers me less than what I expected. Drawback is presumably some repetitiveness going on.

I never knew that I wanted my light drafting game to have 16-puzzle element afterwards. I wish that portion had a *little* more time to it, but it was still pretty entertaining.
