Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Played at PAX. Cute, quick game. Takes 1 minute to teach and 1 minute to play. Very basic. Probably good with children.

The time limit was very constricting and produced too much anxiety for me to get any anxiety out of it, but I would play it again as it was a short game. The drafting part of it felt very random, and was difficult to really strategize, but again, if there was more time, I think it would be more enjoyable. I like puzzles a lot, and particularly I like these kinds of puzzles where the one piece is missing. However, since you may have a bunch of cards that don’t match at all, you may never put together anything of high value, especially not in 45 seconds. It’s a shame because I do think this game deserves better than this, and I wanted to like it more. The art and theme is great, but it feels very restrictive, and again, anxiety-producing which counteracts any fun-feelings during it for me.

This game has not 1, but 2 things that I don’t love: a timer and also sliding puzzles. That’s just my personal feelings on the game, not really an objective gripe, but all the same: No thanks!
