Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.

I like the differentiation with the different character but there are just some things that make it very easy to win with certain combinations

Easily the worst in the villainous lineup. It's clunky, often times confusing, and the production quality isn't up to par with the Disney Villainous titles. I do hope this game gets the same expansion love as its mother series, but this box alone is an unfortunate pass for me and my group.

I was so excited for this as I love the Disney Villainous game. I was excited about the gameplay changes at first, but it quickly led to major disappointment. Rule ambiguities, unclear rules and very much unbalanced. I’ve only played it at two players (which the Disney version is great at), but dang... players can easily get wrecked. I’ve won so many times now by easily completing my objectives because the other player was being punished so badly due to the Fate deck. Winning wasn’t rewarding. Maybe it plays better as a 3+ game while Disney does a superb job as a 2 player game?
