Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.

As the title suggests, this expansion box contains the Harbor and Millionaire's Row expansions. Harbor gives players a way to gain at least a bit of income on useless rolls and increases the number of landmarks to build to 6. It also adds more building variety and strategies, which is greatly appreciated. Having to build two more landmarks makes the game slightly longer (but not significantly in our experience). They feel balanced out since one is very cheap and the other is expensive. Millionaire's Row just adds more building variety. On the one hand, this variety is welcomed as it makes more new strategies and new ways to play. However, some of the new buildings are trickier to use and we found that the groups we've played with tended to stay away from some of the buildings in this expansion. The closing for renovation mechanic is interesting.

Machi Koro 108 base game cards + 162 cards in the Harbor & Millionaire's Row expansions = 270 cards sleeved with Mayday Euro Blue Standard (MDG-7028, 100/pack).

WEIGHT: 2/4 (lightweight) These are the ideal circumstances under which a game of Machi Koro should be played. Play your first game with just the base cards, then move onto these.
