Games using the line drawing mechanic involve the drawing of lines in one way or another. Lines may be used to connect objects as in Sprouts, to isolate objects, or to create areas as in the classic Dots and Dashes, also known as Square-it.

Flip and write game that has you making paths in a forest, linking up flowers and caterpillars to particular shrines. It features a mechanic where each round your score needs to be higher than the previous round or you go bust and score nothing (in fact you get a 5 point penalty!) In reality its a mean little route building game, one that teases the possibility of a perfect game, with everything linked up to one glorious path but the reality is broken paths and bad decisions. Some nice variety offered by a small deck of special cards in the box as well, that shake up the rules/scoring from game to game.

There's less strategy here than it seems. I like these style of roll-and-write and route-connection games. This one just didn't stick.

Fun, quick, and enjoyable. A game about drawing pieces of roads and hoping they connect in the future. Definitely has some "press your luck" element as you decide if you want to try and chain every single sanctuary together or if you cut your losses and go piecemeal. Decided to pick it up on a clearance sale as it was a fun filler game that plays a bunch of people and may be good for family gaming.
