Deduction
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.

Print and play. Played four games at player counts of 4, 4, 5, and 6. The lack of tension in the reveal of the hidden leader makes this an underwhelming release.
Born-of-Ashes
It is definitely something that requires a few plays to get the knack of the mechanisms of subtlety. The first game or two will be very obvious plays and a bias toward the undead faction. This is something supported by the designers. But I feel the art style and options to shift between your two factions will make that learning curve enticing rather than a barrier. The game is very simple to pick up on. There is a lot of luck in the shuffle of the cards so my instinct is that the sweet spot is with 4 players, enough that no one faction is dominated, but not too many that you can count on every combo being present. Wow, I actually like the 2 player a LOT. The back and forth feels like a much more even tug of war. and there is a good chance that one of the factions is not represented so there is a chance that both players lose. Don't just rule it out right away, give it a shot!

Cool idea and i like the possibilities with deduction, but it feels so short, it is almost impossible to hide regarding which faction win you are going for more than few turns, otherwise you are really reducing you chances to win, and this only works with people who are aware of this and doing the same thing, with people who are straight going for there faction win you have to reveal and change your playstyle completely and than it comes down to RNG, because you can have very bad card draws while other people have completely opposite thing going on, in second game i literarily had 4 cards while one other player had 8. At this point I could not do anything anymore unless I get really good marker movement cards. Altogether it is quite fun if circumstances align with what everyone is doing, but ultimately it is quite random. Maybe I need more plays of this to get a jist of the system and how to manipulate it.
