Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.
Modular Board
Some board games incorporate elements of role playing. It can be that players control a character that improves over time. It can also be a game that encourages or inspires storytelling.
Role Playing
Variable Player Powers is a mechanic that grants different abilities and/or paths to victory to the players.

ALGO
Classic dungeoncrawling action with a baddie player on virtually the same map over and over again, it's not an inredible game but the long history of memories about it really make a big difference.

Well, for me this game provided a fantastic experience, but rather personal and not easily reproducible. It was played during a period of over 3 years with my wife and sons ,really young at the time, and a nephew a few years older than my oldest son. I was our First tabletop RPG. Were I to judge my experience, and my experience only, this game would be an eleven, but even though this is not a review but a log of my impressions, I'm trying to be impartial. It's a simple solid game where the limited number of actions meke it ideal to introduce to new players. Great production level, specially considering it is from 1989, and even in the brazilian edition the components were good. Nostalgia level going through the roof.

Almost identical copy of the original minus the Games Workshop art (Chaos Warriors and Fimirs were replaced). The furniture is now all plastic instead of cardboard and is high quality. The miniatures are fantastic. Only downside is the armory is now cards instead of the cool large display on the box insert. A solid remake of the old classic.
