The first full-on new expansion to HeroQuest in nearly 30 years (hero packs, and Mythic pledge quest books notwithstanding). Expands on the story from Mage of the Mirror. Fleshes out the lore of the elves, and provides many more elvish minis between themed furniture (similar to what was in Mage of the Mirror), "monsters," and mercenaries. Has some terrifying new monster types with the spectre and dread wraith. Also provides the Knight hero, formerly only available in its limited printing hero pack from 2021. All welcome additions.

Great improvement with game-play. Love the quasi-role-playing elements and added tactics to keep the heroes from hugging the doors.

The first new big HeroQuest expansion in three decades was an absolute hit! Played it with my kids and occasionally my wife against the app (and one quest against a human Zargon, which increased the difficulty instantly). The new monsters make this quest really interesting for Zargon, and the story continues nicely from Mage of the Mirror. The excellent artefacts and addition of a potion deck where the icing on the cake. Very much looking forward to playing it again with different heroes!
