Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

It's fun, but sometimes strategy gets beaten by sheer luck. Not the end of the world, but it is disheartening to be setting up something great and have someone throw random cards out and still win by a decent margin.

The straw that broke the camel’s back for me. There are entirely too many games coming out each year. And too many of them resemble cheap iOS/Android phone games with pasted-on themes.

Since day one, supporting their Kickstarter campaign. A ti le game with some twists like being able to go out of the table board when applying the tiles. Main objective is simple at a first glance so everybody can play, but there is also complexity if you are playing with more experienced users: in short words, you need to create different type of donuts by matching their halves and satisfy different customers preferences from a variety of neighborhoods. Really enjoying their PnP (print and play) version sent to backers in advance so the waiting for having the product in our hands is less painful. 100% recommended.
