Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.
Set Collection
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

D2D is fine. My 7 y/o really enjoys it and always loves the customers and finding out their names. We play with her and show new people but my wife and I wouldn't play it on our own. Still don't want to play 01/10/23 The fam played it again this year, not me, they enjoyed it 12/18/23

I wasn't aware of this game until I saw it on the shelf at a local game shop. Took a chance on it and it turned out to be a big winner for us. It's a lighter weight tile placement and set collection game perfect for an evening after work. What makes it unique among tile placement games, at least the ones we have, is you can place your tiles over the edge of the player board to optimize connections among the donut halves. Single donut hole tiles offer ways of filling gaps and scoring points if you have pairs on your board. It all seemed to work well.
