Dixit
One player is the storyteller for the turn and looks at the images on the 6 cards in her hand. From one of these, she makes up a sentence and says it out loud (without showing the card to the other players). Each other player selects the card in their hands which best matches the sentence and gives the selected card to the storyteller, without showing it to the others.

A non-complex game with surprising possibilities of depth. Deducing someones 'story' and developing your own masterful clues is harder than innocent looking game would like to suggest. Thankfully the style of the game leads to the overall points not being entirely relevant, everyone wins in this light hearted game.

My first game, and still one of my favourites. There's no ceiling -- the same cards can be used to imagine and tell infinite stories. The ultimate "don't play to win, play to have fun" game. I play boardgames to interact with people. Dixit offers a warm and special way of doing that. (Unless you're playing with the people that deliberately use only references which not everyone knows.)

Personally I'm not a huge fan but must admit it's absolutely great (if not the best) game to draw people to the hobby.
