Dixit
One player is the storyteller for the turn and looks at the images on the 6 cards in her hand. From one of these, she makes up a sentence and says it out loud (without showing the card to the other players). Each other player selects the card in their hands which best matches the sentence and gives the selected card to the storyteller, without showing it to the others.

My first game, and still one of my favourites. There's no ceiling -- the same cards can be used to imagine and tell infinite stories. The ultimate "don't play to win, play to have fun" game. I play boardgames to interact with people. Dixit offers a warm and special way of doing that. (Unless you're playing with the people that deliberately use only references which not everyone knows.)

Cute party game. The artwork on the cards is just fantastic, and there are little bunny rabbits for score markers.

210620 Now that my daughter is old enough to game a bit, but doesn't care to play competitive games, Dixit is getting a lot of plays around the house. No points, but beautiful cards are their own reward.. 150909 With a few years away from a regular playing group, I'm just not feeling the desire to play Dixit that much. I still love the game, but its not tugging at me. 121231 Nah, more players isn't better. I think 5 or 6 is about the sweet spot. The art for 1 and 2 are great. Odyssey (3) was not so good but Journey (4, blue box) is very good - and it also makes the Odyssey cards not stand out nearly so badly as it did before. 100303 beautiful cards and plenty of fun...wish there were more players possible.
