Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.

The Base game is good, nice ideas for Kids (for example painting the heroes), but there is a lot of space above for expansions and this seems to be needful. Bcause the items are very equal and not really much, there is not much variety. I think the rule that the coins take so much room in the bag is not very senseful. Also its not really much time for exploring, and if you have already enchanted your equipment there s no need to fight the Monsters because they stand still til the end. So at least the game is nice, but theres a lot of potential that is not used yet. My 6 year old daughter was excited. Thanks for that.

Very funny to play with children, perfect as fantasy family game, but we enjoy it also between adults. Also the solo is good and enjoyable. And it is cheap.

This is a brilliant option for families that have tried some of the entry-level co-operative games and want to try another slightly trickier option. With awesome components and plenty of options, Chronicles of Avel will see you return to the kingdom time and time again to attempt to defeat the Beast on varying difficulties.
