Pattern Building is a system where players place game components in specific patterns in order to gain specific or variable game results. For example: placing chips on 2, 4, 6, 8 on a board gets the player an action card they can use later in the game.
Pattern Building
Tile Placement games feature placing a piece to score VPs, with the amount often based on adjacent pieces or pieces in the same group/cluster, and keying off non-spatial properties like color, "feature completion", cluster size etc.

Simple expansion. Doesn't add a ton and certainly isn't necessary, but it does add a good element of strategy in that if you choose to place a landmark, that tile can't be used to place an animal. That's important with how the landmarks typically want you to score so it gives you something additional to think about that you might not have had to do in the base game. A good addition.

I've played with 5 players, and the 3 habitat tiles. It's really great to get more people in the game. You can fit all the bits in a Cascadia box.

Enjoyable if you like Cascadia. A bit too complex to show at first time Cascadia players, but easy to grasp and enjoy for veterans.
