Andy Parsons
Carc visits the Old West, morphing monasteries into cities, roads into railroads, cities into hills full of gold, and the critters from Hunters and Gatherers into Indian camps and horses. The main innovation is gold mines, which add a rather random element to scoring. For me this makes it the weakest of the versions I have played. As ever, the tiles create a good looking bird's eye image of a patch of land. Production quality is to the usual standards.

I like this more than the base game without expansions. Love the interesting twists on mechanics. Look for me in the acknowledgements!

Spices up the base Carcassonne game in a new and interesting way. I think I'd rather play this than the standard game any day.
