Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
The primary goal of a set collection mechanic is to encourage a player to collect a set of items.

Akado
The art is great, the theme is pleasant, and neither of those have any bearing on the actual gameplay, leading to a big disappointment. This is a family-weight game with a nice, palateable playtime, but the sheer disconnect between the theme and the gameplay leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I struggle to get over the disappointment of having great art and a pleasant theme...and the game itself being "Match symbols to get points".

it was played 3 times which was enough(though i enjoyed our 1st game)... bought it because of the hype and when finally got it i just didn't see what others still do. At least now it's at a place where it is appreciated:)

The game is absolutely beautiful. The gameplay is rather simple and not very challenging, but it is worth playing just for the uniqueness of the components. The game plays quickly and is a great for family game night. My youngest gets caught up in making what she considers the best looking painting and loses sight of the scoring yet still just loves the game.
