Dice rolling in a game can be used for many things, randomness being the most obvious. Dice can also be used as counters. The dice themselves can be unique and different sizes, shapes and colors to represent different things.
Dice Rolling
The simultaneous action selection mechanic lets players secretly choose their actions. After they are revealed, the actions resolve following the rule-set of the game.
Simultaneous Action Selection
Maneuvers that directly attack an opposing player's strength, level, life points or do something else to impede their progress.
Take That
This mechanism requires players to select individual actions from a set of actions available to all players. Players generally select actions one-at-a-time and in turn order. There is usually(*) a limit on the number of times a single action may be taken. Actions are commonly selected by the placement of game pieces or tokens on the selected actions. Each player usually has a limited number of pieces with which to participate in the process.

very excited! Julie's clever sense of humor really tickles me in general so I can't wait to see how this turns out.

Little to simple. Wish the adventure cards had different objectives besides highest and lowest. Good for kids or if you are winding down at the end of the night since it's never not fun to roll dice.

Loved the art and components, but the game play didn’t impress. Honestly it might be my fault as our group doesn’t play very aggressively in games, and I think this game would work better if everybody plays ruthlessly. It has a good playtime for what it does, as it doesn’t drag and ends about the time it needs to. Still, I’m not sure you could have many distinct strategies over several playthroughs. Options seem limited, and you are very much at the mercy of the dice.
