Card drafting games are games in which players pick cards from a limited subset, such as a common pool, to gain some advantage (immediate or longterm) or to assemble hands of cards that are used to meet objectives within the game.
Card Drafting
Hand management games are games with cards in them that reward players for playing the cards in certain sequences or groups. The optimal sequence/grouping may vary, depending on board position, cards held and cards played by opponents. Managing your hand means gaining the most value out of available cards under given circumstances. Cards often have multiple uses in the game, further obfuscating an "optimal" sequence.
Hand Management
Play occurs upon a modular board that is composed of multiple pieces, often tiles or cards. In many games, board placement is randomized, leading to different possibilities for strategy and exploration. Some games in this category have multiple boards which are not used simultaneously, preserving table space. Unused boards remain out of play until they are required.

Very nice alternative take on a golf game. I've played solo and 2-player and enjoyed both. Definitely a keeper for me.

The courses are beautiful. The gameplay is smooth and rules are simple enough. My only complaint is that the game is less like golf and more like a gamey cartoon version of golf. But given that it doesn’t claim to be a golf simulator, I guess that’s okay. It’s still fun to play with a beer in hand.

Very unsatisfying experience. After spending about 30 minutes setting up a course from the manual, players draft cards to make a set of clubs to be used one at a time until they are refreshed (for all 18 holes). The hit direction from a card flip is uninteresting as there are only three typical outcomes (veer 1 left/right, or go straight), yet entire decks of cards to maintain and shuffle to randomize them. Setting cards, and then revealing and following the arbitrary initiative values on the clubs slows down gameplay as we recalculate who goes next after each awkward card flip, even though turn order barely matters in the game, as multiple people can sink it in the same turn with no penalty and there is no blocking. That the clubs don't refresh each hole is unfortunate as you must still 'burn' one each turn, even when you are out of contention for a hole, setting you back for the next hole as well. Thankfully you can spend your entire turn resetting your hand manually, which is where some small impact of turn order can be felt. Overall, not a fan.
